Abdul Hai-A Symbol of Success

Mohammad Abdul Hai lost his Father at the tender age of three years. He came to Dhaka with his uncle in 1978 when he was only five. At that age Hai started to work as a domestic help at the residence of a physician where he stayed for a long time. The family members were kind and the little boy was quite comfortable. The family was aware of the UCEP education program and they got him admitted into UCEP-Monipuri Para school in 1982. Hai successfully completed Grade-VIII and was admitted into UCEP Dhaka Technical School in Welding and General Fittings Trade in 1987. He was quite serious about his lessons and successfully completed the Technical course in 1989.

Hai started his career with Bangladesh Electricity Meter Company (BEMCO) where he served from 1989 to 1991. In 1991 he went to Saudi Arabia to work in a renowned company as a technician. He was back from Saudi Arabia in 1995 and joined BEMCO in 1997 and joined Singapore Chemical Company as the Lifting Supervisor assigned to cover the company's operation both in Singapore and Malaysia . He again came back to Bangladesh in 1999 and joined Fine Way Food & Beverage Limited as the Mechanical Supervisor. In 2004 he again changed his job and joined Harb Trade International as the Tower Supervisor. Despite the good jobs at Home and Abroad Hai wanted to be an entrepreneur and do something of his own.

Hai started his own enterprise ‘Black & White Engineers' in 2005 dealing with all kinds of SS and MS Fabrication and Decoration and Specialized in TIG Welding. He is now working hard to establish the Business which is getting good response from the market. He is grateful to UCEP for giving him a chance in life.
