16 Days Activism against Gender-based Violence 2020

UCEP Bangladesh had observed the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence 2020, from 25 November to 10 December 2020, under global theme this year:Orange the World: Fund, Respond, Prevent, Collect!

A series of events was organized on this 16-day long campaign in all the operational regions of UCEP Bangladesh.

Notable activities included making all UCEP Bangladesh officials aware against violence against women, be it at home, workplace or public place. UCEP Bangladesh staff, teachers and students shared their thoughts on different types of violence, their personal stories and experiences. Discussion sessions, rallies, essay and art competition were held with the participation of students from General and Technical Schools.

On the last day of the campaign, a thematic football match was arranged at the Head Office where female students from two General Schools participated in two teams – Nari Nirjaton Protirodh team (orange) & Ballo Bibaho Protirodh team (white).

Mr. Mohammad Mohasin, Founder & Captain, Bangladesh National Wheelchair Cricket Team, was the Special Guest, while Ms. Tahsinah Ahmed, Executive Director, UCEP Bangladesh, was the Chief Guest of the event.Development partners of UCEP Bangladesh, senior officials, teachers and instructors, staff and students were also present.
