Dr. Mohammad Alauddin

Dr. Mohammad Alauddin serves as the Chairperson of the Board of Governors at UCEP Bangladesh and holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT) at the University of Asia Pacific (UAP). Dr. Alauddin took early retirement as an Associate Professor from the University of Dhaka and later joined the Boston-based NGO, Pathfinder International, where he worked for 22 years and retired in 2006.


Dr. Alauddin holds a Master’s degree in Social Welfare from the Dhaka University Institute of Social Welfare and Research, as well as a Master of Social Work (MSW) and PhD from the University of Michigan, USA. He is also an accomplished author, having written the textbook titled “Samajik Gabaysana: Baigyanik Gyan Onneswan Padhati,” which was published by the Textbook Division of Bangla Academy.


His expertise has extended beyond borders, as Dr. Alauddin has provided training consultancy in countries such as Egypt, Tanzania, Pakistan, India, and Tibet. He has also served as a consultant to esteemed organizations including the World Bank, Population Council, USAID, and IUCW. Additionally, he has represented Bangladesh at international conferences held in Mexico, Egypt, and Indonesia as a distinguished NGO representative.
Dedicated to promoting education, Dr. Alauddin established SN Academy to provide children in rural areas, specifically in Jhawail, Gopulpur Upazila under Tangail district, with a strong foundation in elementary education.
