UCEP Bangladesh expresses deep condolence on the sad demise of Mr. Arc. Mubasshar Hussain, Member of the UCEP Association, prominent architect, valiant freedom fighter, and activist. He died at the Bangladesh Specialized Hospital in the capital’s Shyamoli around 1:38 am on Monday. He was 79 years old. His body was kept at the Institute of Architects premises in Agargaon in the capital for everyone to pay their respects. Funeral prayers were held there at noon, and then another round of prayers followed at Brothers Union sports club premises.
The members of the Association, staff and thousands of underprivileged children of UCEP Bangladesh remember him with sincere gratitude for his notable contribution to UCEP Bangladesh and pray for the salvation of his departed soul.
Mr. Mubasshar was the principal architect of Assoconsult Ltd and served as president of the Commonwealth Association of Architects and the Architects Regional Council, Asia Arcasia.
Mr. Mubasshar was born on 27 December 1943 in Brahmanbaria and studied at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
