21st February 2025- Observing International Mother Language Day and Martyrs’ Day

UCEP Pahartali Technical School observed International Mother Language Day and Martyrs’ Day 2025 with due respect, solemnity, and a deep sense of national pride, paying tribute to the language martyrs who sacrificed their lives in 1952 for the right to speak in their mother tongue — Bangla.

The day began with followed by a floral tribute at the school’s temporary Shaheed Minar. Teachers, students, and staff participated in offering wreaths to honor the language heroes.

Key Activities:
Discussion Session: A special session was held highlighting the history of the Language Movement, the sacrifice of the martyrs, and the importance of preserving our mother language.

Drawing Competition: Students expressed their creativity and patriotism through powerful illustrations themed around language and identity.

Essay Competition: Participants wrote thoughtful essays on the topic “Mother Language and Our Identity” showcasing their understanding and emotions.

Prize Distribution: Winners of the drawing and essay competitions were awarded with certificates and gifts to encourage their talent and participation.

This observance helped raise awareness among students about the importance of linguistic and cultural heritage, while also fostering a sense of respect and pride for their roots.
