KiK UCEP Ghashitola Technical School solemnly observed International Mother Language Day with great respect and enthusiasm. The program began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the recitation of the National Anthem and the hoisting of the half-mast flag in honor of the language martyrs. A floral wreath was placed at the Shaheed Minar, and a one-minute silence was observed to pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the right to speak in their mother tongue. The event also included the unveiling of the Wall Magazine, showcasing creative works by students. Patriotic songs were performed in remembrance of the Language Movement, creating a deeply emotional atmosphere. A brief discussion program was held where Salman Khan, Assistant Instructor, and Md. Shah Alam, Instructor, delivered insightful speeches on the significance of International Mother Language Day and how UNESCO officially recognized it to promote linguistic and cultural diversity worldwide. CPC member Sirajul Mia expressed his gratitude to the students for their active participation and enthusiasm. The event concluded with an inspiring speech by Freedom Fighter Rofikul Islam Rofik (Bir Protik), who shared his heartfelt appreciation for the students and emphasized the importance of preserving our mother tongue and cultural heritage. The program successfully instilled a sense of patriotism and linguistic pride among students and staff, making it a memorable and meaningful event.
