
UCEP Bangladesh and A.K. Khan & Co. Ltd. jointly inaugurated the A.K. Khan–UCEP TVET Complex at the UCEP Kalurghat Campus, marking a major milestone in advancing technical and vocational education in Bangladesh.
The ceremony was graced by Janab Salahuddin Kasem Khan, Trustee Secretary of A.K. Khan Foundation, as Chief Guest, along with Dr. Ubaidur Rob, Chairperson, UCEP Board of Governors, and Dr. Md. Abdul Karim, Executive Director, UCEP Bangladesh.
In his keynote address, Janab Salahuddin Kasem Khan highlighted the urgent need to strengthen technical and vocational education to meet the country’s growing employment demands in a rapidly changing technological world.
Dr. Ubaidur Rob emphasized the emerging demand for skills in caregiving, nursing, and elderly support, noting that the new complex would become a regional hub for demand-driven training and youth empowerment.
Dr. Md. Abdul Karim expressed heartfelt gratitude to the A.K. Khan Foundation for its long-standing partnership and reaffirmed UCEP’s commitment to providing inclusive and sustainable technical education.
The inauguration concluded with the unveiling of the foundation plaque, symbolizing a shared vision to empower disadvantaged youth through skill development and public–private collaboration.
