
To commemorate MTB’s anniversary, MTB Foundation, in partnership with UCEP Bangladesh, recently inaugurated the project ‘MTB UCEP Skills Training Institute (MUSTI)’, the flagship project of MTB Foundation under the ‘Education’ sector.
Project MUSTI will provide training in 5 specialized trades to 1,200 underprivileged youth over a period of 3 years.
Project MUSTI aims to equip the youth with in-demand skills to improve employability, thus, transform lives by turning potential into productivity with a view to driving inclusive growth for the society.
The initiative is expected to position the Bank as a ‘community partner’ in addition to just a financial institution and renew trust with its existing & potential customers, stakeholders and regulators.
The inauguration ceremony of the MTB UCEP Skills Training Institute (MUSTI) was held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Spandan Training Facilitation Centre in Maskanda, Mymensingh, in the presence of the distinguished Members of the Board and the Senior Management Team from both the organizations, community representatives, and trainees.
The MTB UCEP Skills Training Institute (MUSTI) was inaugurated by Rashed Ahmed Chowdhury, Chairman, Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB). A. Matin Chowdhury, Former Chairperson, Dr. Md. Abdul Karim, Executive Director & Engr. Mohd. Abdul Mannan, Director, Programme and Innovation from UCEP Bangladesh and Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO, Additional Managing Directors, Chowdhury Akhtar Asif & Md. Khalid Mahmood Khan, Deputy Managing Directors, Rais Uddin Ahmad, Md. Bakhteyer Hossain, Md. Shamsul Islam & Md. Shafquat Hossain from Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) and Samia Chowdhury, Chief Executive Officer, MTB Foundation & senior officials from both the organizations were also present during the event.
