Brigadier General (Retd.) Dr. M Sakhawat Hossain, Hon’ble Advisor to the Ministry of Shipping and the Ministry of Labour and Employment, visited UCEP Rajshahi TVET Institute on 02 August 2025 and participated in a discussion meeting. This visit was a part of the progress review of the project titled “Transform backward youth into industrial workers to increase industrial productivity (TBIP) Project,” which is implemented by UCEP Bangladesh under the supervision of the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
The discussion meeting following the visit was attended by Mr. A.H.M. Shafiquzzaman, Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Employment; Dr. Md. Abdul Karim, Executive Director of UCEP Bangladesh; Mr. Shahinul Islam, Regional Manager of UCEP Bangladesh; along with instructors and staff of UCEP Rajshahi TVET Institute.
During the meeting, the Hon’ble Advisor highly appreciated UCEP Bangladesh’s initiatives in enhancing youth skills and emphasized the importance of expanding technical and vocational education for sustainable development.
After the visit, he formally handed over appointment letters to UCEP graduates who have been employed at Barendra Rajshahi Textile Ltd., marking a significant milestone in the successful implementation of the project and in ensuring skill-based employment opportunities.
