On July 16, 2025, UCEP Hafiz Mazumder Sylhet Technical School solemnly observed July Martyrs’ Day to honor the memory of the brave students, particularly Abu Sayeed, who sacrificed their lives during the historic student-led protests of July 2024. The program began with the national flag flown at half-mast, followed by a Doa Mehfil (prayer session) where students and teachers prayed for the souls of the martyrs. Thoughtful speeches and discussions were held, highlighting the significance of the day and the importance of standing up for justice and democratic rights. Teachers encouraged students to reflect on the values of unity, sacrifice, and civic responsibility. The event fostered a spirit of patriotism and respect for those who gave their lives for positive change in the country.
