A colorful “”Baisakhi Mela” was organized today by the initiative of the UCEP Robertsongonj Technical School to welcome the Bengali New Year 1432. Students, guardians, local people and members of the UCEP family participated in the day-long event.
The fair was officially inaugurated by the Head of Technical School, Md. Lavlu Mia, who said in his welcome speech, “This fair is a unique expression of our culture, tradition and harmony. It is a wonderful platform for students to practice their creativity and culture.”
The fair had various stalls—rural handicrafts, traditional food, home furnishings and various projects made by students. In addition, the cultural program included dance, songs, poetry recitation and drama performances.

Delwar Hossain Ripon (Director, Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industries), Mrs. Laila (Social Worker, Rangpur), Fatema Nazim Lushy (Lecturer, Lalmonirhat Adarsh College, Lalmonirhat, Lecturer and Examiner, Bangladesh Open University), Hafizur Rahman Rinku (Member, Advisory Committee, UCEP Rangpur Region), M. A. Quader Tushar (Assistant Teacher, Rangpur District School), Md. Manjurul Islam Babu (Sonali Bank, Pirganj Branch), Md. Manjudar Rahman (Leader), General Secretary, Haragach Social Development Organization, Wajiar Rahman (Advocate Rangpur), Banker Md. Ahidul Islam, Md. Kabir Mia, Rajendra, (Proprietor, Comfort Tailors and Fabrics, Rangpur Payra Chattar) students, teachers, guardians, locals and many others.

The participants of this day-long fair welcomed the Bengali New Year with joy and celebration in a festive atmosphere. The organizers said that such arrangements will continue in the future. Finally, the fair was declared closed with a raffle draw.
