ইউসেপ বাংলাদেশের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা লিন্ডসে এ্যালান চেইনীর স্মরণে যথাযথ মর্যাদায় ”চেইনী দিবস” পালিত হয়েছে । ইউসেপ বাংলাদেশের প্রধান ও আঞ্চলিক কার্যালয়সমূহ নানা কর্মসূচীর মাধ্যমে দিনটি পালন করে। ১৯৩১ সালে লিন্ডসে এ্যালান চেইনী নিউজিল্যান্ডে জন্মগ্রহন করেন এবং ১৯৮৬ সালের ১৫ সেপ্টেম্বর ঢাকায় মৃত্যুবরণ করেন । চেইনীর স্মরণে ঢাকার নারিন্দায় অবস্থিত খ্রিষ্টান সমাধিস্থেল একটি স্মরণ সভার আয়োজন করা
